Retail Training
Purpose
The purpose of this training is to ensure that new and existing employees at Aggie Outdoors Inc, an outdoor recreation product retail location, develop consistent, accurate knowledge and skills for recommending appropriate footwear for a variety of outdoor activities, thereby increasing employee confidence, enhancing customer trust, and reducing the risk of unsafe outdoor practices.

Sales leads and retail staff at Aggie Outdoors Inc., including employees who are transitioning from primarily serving outdoor recreation enthusiasts.

Upon completion, learners will be able to demonstrate a foundational understanding of how to select and recommend appropriate footwear for a variety of outdoor activities, enabling them to confidently apply this knowledge in their job role to ensure customer safety, satisfaction, and improved service consistency.

New and existing employees at Aggie Outdoors Inc. do not have consistent knowledge about how to recommend appropriate footwear for different outdoor activities. This inconsistency can lead to employee uncertainty, reduced customer confidence, and, in some cases, unsafe practices during outdoor experiences.

The goal of this training is to improve employee confidence and competency in selecting and recommending proper footwear for outdoor activities. By standardizing this skill, Aggie Outdoors Inc. will ensure employees can provide safer, more accurate guidance to customers, resulting in improved customer service, reduced safety risks, and a more consistent training experience across the organization.

Learner Analysis
Demographics:
Age: 18-55+
Experience: Ranges from new hires with minimal retail or product knowledge to highly experienced staff with deep technical expertise..
Motivation: Employees need to quickly learn core skills to assist customers effectively and ensure safety. Experienced employees may need a refresher or a standardized reference point.
Learning Environment: Training will be delivered through the company's online Learning Management System (LMS) via TalentLMS. Learners will access the module on their own time, often during work breaks or before/after shifts. The training needs to be concise and easily digestible on both desktop and mobile devices.
